Kyber
Using Kyber with Claude
The Kyber connector for Claude lets you work with your Kyber
organization's letter templates and letters directly from a Claude
conversation — search templates, generate drafts, create letters, and
track correspondence, with every action governed by your existing Kyber
account and permissions.
What Claude can do with Kyber
Read
-
Search templates — find your organization's letter
templates by name or description, filter by publication status, and
inspect the parameters each template requires.
-
Search and retrieve letters — find letters by text,
status, or date range, and open any letter you have access to. Every
result includes a direct link to the letter in Kyber.
-
Look up teammates — list users in your organization,
filtered by role, when you need an owner or reviewer.
Write
-
Generate drafts — produce draft letter content from a
template and its parameter values, using the same generation pipeline
Kyber uses in the app. Generating a draft does not create a letter.
-
Create letters — turn a generated draft into a real
letter in your organization, owned by you, with a link to open it in
Kyber.
What stays in Kyber: editing, collaboration, review and
approval, and sending. The connector links each letter to its page in
Kyber, where your normal workflow takes over.
Before you connect
-
You need an active Kyber organization account — the
same credentials you use to sign in to Kyber.
-
On Claude Team or Enterprise plans, an organization
Owner must enable the Kyber connector for the workspace first; after
that, each member connects individually.
-
On other Claude plans, you can connect directly from the directory.
Connecting
-
Find Kyber in the Claude connectors directory and
select Connect.
-
Sign in with your Kyber credentials when the Kyber login screen opens.
-
On the consent screen, choose which of your organizations and
permissions this connection may use — only access your current Kyber
roles allow is offered — then select
Allow selected access.
-
Back in Claude, the connector shows as connected. Enable it in a
conversation and start asking.
Example prompts
- "Which published templates do we have for reservation-of-rights letters?"
-
"Draft a coverage position letter for claim 4821 using our 'ROR –
Property' template — ask me for any details the template needs."
- "Looks good — create the letter in Kyber."
- "List my letters still in draft from the last two weeks."
- "Who in our organization has the Reviewer role?"
A typical flow
-
Ask for a letter — Claude finds the matching template in your
organization and looks up which details it needs.
-
Provide the details Claude asks for (claim number, recipient, dates
and so on) — or paste them from your conversation.
-
Claude generates a draft using Kyber's own generation pipeline and
shows it to you. Nothing is saved yet.
-
Say "create it" — the letter is created in Kyber under your account,
and Claude gives you a link to open it for editing, review, and
sending.
For IT administrators
The connector exposes seven tools, split by capability:
-
Read-only:
list_templates,
get_template, list_letters,
get_letter, list_users
-
Write:
generate_template_drafts
(produces draft content; saves nothing) and
create_letter (creates a letter owned by the connected
user)
The server is a remote MCP endpoint at
https://mcp.askkyber.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP) using OAuth
2.0 with dynamic client registration and PKCE. Access tokens are issued
by Kyber's authorization server only through the user-consent flow;
every request is re-authorized against the user's live organization
role and permission grants. The connector cannot send, approve, or
delete letters, and has no access to claim-system integrations.
Data access and security
-
The connector acts as you. Claude sees only the
templates, letters, and users your Kyber role and organization
permissions allow — the same boundaries you have in the app.
-
Attribution. Letters created through Claude are owned
by your account, exactly as if you created them in Kyber.
-
Authentication. The connector uses OAuth 2.0: you
sign in on Kyber's own login page and approve a consent screen. Claude
never sees your Kyber password; it receives a revocable access token
scoped to this connection.
-
No extra data collection. The connector processes
only the requests Claude makes on your behalf and stores no
conversation content.
Disconnecting
Remove the connector any time from Claude's
Settings → Connectors — this revokes Claude's access
token. Your Kyber account and data are unaffected.
Troubleshooting
-
"Authentication failed" when connecting — confirm you
can sign in at Kyber directly with the same credentials, then retry
the connection from Claude.
-
A template or letter you expect isn't found — the
connector only surfaces what your Kyber role can access; check with
your organization admin if something is missing.
-
Connection stopped working — disconnect the Kyber
connector in Claude's settings and connect again to issue a fresh
token.
